My left hammy was a bit tight this morning, 4 miles at about a 6:45 pace.

Got to the track later in the day did 16/12/8/4 workout, hammy still stiff but only a few seconds off my goal times.  1600: 4:58 1200: 3:43 800: 2:25 400: :63.02

This morning went on a 3 mile easier run at a 6:45 pace. On my afternoon/evening run of 8.5 miles started off slower then wanted to, but was able to regain myself and drop the pace to a 6:30 and finished in a 6:00 mile. Abs and stretches after workout.

Easy 3.02 mile run this morning at a 7:06 pace. 

Afternoon workout was supposed to be a 600 400 200 goal pace interval workout. However I wasn't hitting the times I wanted by a few seconds. The weather was cold and windy and forgot my tights at home so wasn't very warm during workout, some spots of the track were also very icy and would slip every once in a while and would have to slow down. However I ended up doing an extra 200 at the end because I had not hit my time I was supposed to in the interval before. I did a mile and a half warm up and a two mile easy/recovery run after, with stretching and core work. My times ended up as...600: 1:31 400: 60 200: :28 200: 27

Raced in the mile and the 4X400 at weber state. In the mile I ran a 4:48, and a 58 second 4X400 split. I did't feel great in the mile or really  in the relay. I had played a basketball game before the meet and was tired from that, and a good hard weeks of training. Did a mile warm up and 1.5 mile cool down.

4 mile trianing run in the morning and a 2X800, 400, 200, speed workout after school. With a mile warm up and a mile cool down. my times were 800: 2:18 400: :62 200: :28 800: 2:17 400: :61 200: :27. Was  a little off my times I wanted to hit, but ran in my trainers and they needed to be replaced so was feeling pain from old shoes.

5 mile morning run at a 6:45 pace would have liked it to be a little faster but with the wind and the snow it made it hard. Afternoon run did about 9 mile. ran a tempo break down. 10 minutes easy 10 minutes at a 6:00 minute pace. Did that twice then went to 8 easy 8 hard 6 easy 6 hard 4 easy 4 hard. From the 8's to the 4's was a 5:45 to 5:55 pace for the fast.

Went on a 4 mile run in the mornining at 6:45 pace. After school did 8 400's at :66 with roughly 30-45 second recovery. then did 4 200's at a :27-:28. with a 200 meter jog/walk for recovery. 1 mile warm up and 1.5 mile cool down.

Today was the first day of our intrasquad meet. Jake, Tyler, Eligah and I ran the 4x100 relay....it is intesting coming out of blocks for a 100 meter being a distance kid...got 7 miles in after with about a .5 mile warmup before the 4x100.

oh also tried pole vault just for kicks and giggles...lol

The second day of our intrasqade meet. Ran the 1600, 800, 3200, and a 400 in our coed 5x400 relay. Before the 1600 got a mile warm up in. my time was a 4:50 was by my self in the front so did it more of a work out. I ended up running all of these more as a interval work out then anything. 800 time was 2:11 and 3200 was a 10:45. felt smooth and relaxed the whole time. did a 2.5 mile cool down.  Did a 4 mile easy run in the morning.

Before practice I did 4x400's at all out. times were 60 61 61 then the last 400 I fell about the last 200 and come in at a 64. felt heavy but for how every I felt was pretty smooth then the last one was just bad quads and hamstrings were heavy and tight. Went of a 6 mile cool down/run with the Tyler and Jake at practice right after.

4 mile morning run. Then afternoon run was 16 200's with a 100 meter jog for recovery. broke the 200's into groups of 8. was slower then should have been hit 32 for all of them. 1 mile warm up and 1 mile cool down.

4 mile morning run. Then had a dual meet with copper hills after schoo. ran the 1600 800 and 4x400. mile was slow tried to sit with the leaders but they did not run their top kid so was slow for the first 800. then made my move at the 800 and ran a 4:42. I did the same thing in the 800 but made a move at the 300 then another at the 200 was in third place behind the leader about 25 meters. passed him with 50 meters left and won the race with a 2:06. ran a 55 first leg of the 4x400. 1 mile warm up before 1600 then light jogging in between for the 800 and x400. 2.5 mile cool down.

Did 4x1200's. wasnt feeling the best and was a few seconds off of my time. was supossed to be at a 3:35 and was closer to a 3:39 for the first three. Then was able to pull it back togethor for the fourth and ran a 3:26. 1.5 mile warm up and 4 mile cool down.

ran the the fremont viewmont syracuse tri meet. ran the mile 800 and 3200. the meet was ran terrible and warmed up when I was supposed to but they had trouble and with the timing and didnt run for 45 minutes after I was supposed to. so didnt really get a true warm up. ran a 4:40 for my mile and was not a good race. Me and Dalin Leathmen went out way to fast. ran a 63 first lap and fell way off pace definetly learned a lot from this race. the 800 wasnt the best either got boxed in and ran a 2:15. the 3200 I was just trying to help Will P.R. and we got it done so it was worth the extra race.1 mile warm up and 2 mile cool down.

5 mile morning run. then after practice did a 2x 600, 400, 600 pyrmaid with a 2 minute active recovory. 600's for the first set were 1:38 and the 400 was a  65. the second set was a 1:35 for the 600's and a 61 for the 400. 1 mile warm up and and 4 mile cool down.

Went an easy 4 miles. This was my first run in about a week and half. Took some time off to rest and recover before hitting it hard this summer for cross. I have some pretty lofty goals for myself this year and am ready to go out and get them done. Hoping to back in the full swing of things by the start of next week. Also gonna try and change my diet we will see how it goes.

Ran a city 5k today. Did a mile warmup and mile cooldown. Felt pretty good considering I have only ran 2 times before today in a little over a week. ran 19:14 but the course was long it was 3.22 insead of 3.1. happy with how it went, took first by over a minute.

Went 5 miles today. Was the first "hard" workout of the season. Averaged a 6:40 pace. Wanna get down to a 6:10 to 6:20 by the end of ragnar begining of July. Ran it with Jake and Tyler. they both fell off pace but Tyler was a littler further back then I hoped he would be. Hopefully I can get both of them on board for the year and up running with me.

Ran 3 miles with Jared Palmer. He really surprised me with how he did. Our fist mile was a 7:02 then a 6:37 and we both started to push eachother and finished in a 5:33. I am super excited to have him on the TEAM this year. Hopefully he can do that more often and for longer distances...I have a feeling that Jake better start watching his back or he will get caught.

Did a 5 mile run up the waterfall canyon. We had to power hike some parts because you just can't run it even if you wanted to. Did it with the captions and Rob and Randy. Was a good fun workout.

Ran 5 miles by myself today. Felt really good and relaxed. Focused on my upper boddy and staying tall and keeping my arms low and shoulders relaxed, felt really good. Was still slower then I need to be but it is still early in the year. 6:40 miles.

Extermly disappointed in myself today. Was gonna get up and go 10 before my brothers baseball game but stayed up to late last night and slept in. Planned on going after the game but had  to help my dad lay floor in our house. So at about 8:30 I decided I needed to go on a run. Went out planning to go 8 but then the weather started getting terrible, really windy and dusty just wasnt good, plus it was getting dark and had no head lamp or vest. Ended up only going 6 at a 7 minute mile average. I really need to step up my milage and start getting serious again. Plan on starting 2 a days on monday, we will see how it goes.

Today was the first day of team practice. It was a really good turn out. I am excited for this years team we have a lot of raw talent on the team this year. Ran 6.2 with Jake and Tyler. It was a really good workout. We averaged 6:31 for the full 6.2. Our last full mile was a 6:07. Did abs after practice as a team.

Ran 4.2 miles that evening with Jake and Tyler I hope I can keep them doing two a days with me.

8 mile trail run today with the team. I didn't go out with Jaxon this week after what happend last week, turned out to be a good idea and felt really good and realaxed today, If he comes and runs some more trails with us I hope I can hang with him....

Ran my next two legs of Ragnar today. Felt good on the first one which was a 2.5. (was supposed to be 2.9 kinda made me mad it was short.) ran 15:30 for this and got 7 kills. It was a lot hiller than I thought it would be so I am happy how it went. Averaged a 5:48. My second leg was down the top half of what used to be Ragnar Hill. It sucked. I felt fine but it was just stupid downhill and no one should have to run that much downhill, it was 4.2 miles. Got 57 kills and averaged a 5:12 pace. Hit a 5:03 at some point in the run.

Went 4 miles in the evinging and felt really good for our first hard workout.

Ran the West Point 4th of July 5k today. Or it was supposed to be a 5k but ended up being around a 3.25. Ran with Jaxon for the majority of the race then he made a move with a little less than a mile to go and I just couldn't cover it. We were stride for stride for the whole race covering each others moves besides the last one he made I couldn't cover. Ran a 17:28 so was super happy with that time given how early in the year it is and my run the other day. If you take this time and distance and put it on the Highland Invite couse (2.9) I am already starting this year a little faster than I did last year at highland. Did a mile warm up and mile cool down.

Ran the Deseret 10k today. For my first 10k I have ever ran I was suprised for how well I did. I think I found my new favorite distance to race. Wish highschool races were a 10k and not a 5k. did a mile warm up and 1/2 mile cool down. Did a 3.5 mile recovory run that evening.

Did a 6 mile run today in Huntsvile. Ran the most part at a little slower pace (6:45) for about the first 3 miles. Then had to take a pitstop and was trying to catch back up with Jake and Tyler at about a 6:15 pace then got back with them and ended the last mile at a 6:05 pace. Felt really good on todays run.

Havent logged in a while I am going to start working on it more, I am doing all the big things now time to start doing the little things aswell.

Did a 4 mile run in the morning before school. After school at practice we did a 4 mile tempo run. It was a little bit hot today but felt pretty good for the most part, was a little slower then I would like,6 minute pace, need to get it down to about a 5:30 on the shorter ones and 5:45 on the little bit longer ones. Ran with Tyler today.

Did a 4 mile run this morning, felt good on it about a 6:45 pace. 

For our after school practice we did a break down interval workout on the track, 400, 400, 800, 1200, 1200, 800, 400, 400.  Felt really good today!! Ran with Tyler today. Our times were, 400-78 sec 400-76 sec 800- 2:35 1200- 3:55 1200-3:50 (this was the hardest one by far) 800-2:30 400-70 sec 400-65 sec.

Did a mile warm up and a mile cool down.
